Derbyshire Dog Agility Club

Derbyshire Dog Agility Club (DDAC) are a Kennel Club registered Agility club founded in 1997.

The Kennel Club has a sub-section especially for juniors, in fact anyone between the ages of 6 and 24 years. It is known as the Young Kennel Club (YKC).

Derbyshire Dog Agility Club welcomes juniors as members, whether they are beginners or experienced handlers.

Many agility shows offer special classes just for juniors. Although all juniors are eligible to compete in standard classes too.

The club enters teams in the Young Kennel Club Junior Team Agility qualifiers each year and we have had some success in getting to Crufts.

Any junior member is eligible to run in a team, which consists of five handlers aged 6-17 yrs, although one handler can be aged 18-24 yrs. The five dogs are individually timed (it is not a relay) and the combined total of the four best scores will decide the results.

The final is held in the YKC ring at Crufts.
